Chapman Automotive opened in 1985, but our story started 28 years earlier, in 1957. Carl and Fredonne Chapman founded Craig Conoco and quickly became the go-to source for car care in Craig, Colorado. In 1985, they changed pace to open Chapman Automotive, where J.B. and Paula later joined them in 1994. Just six years later, Carl and Fredonne retired, and J.B. and Paula took over the ownership and operations of Chapman Automotive. They remain at the helm of the business today, working hard to maintain the reputation they’ve earned over the past few decades. As a family-owned and operated facility, our auto repair business is rich with heritage, and our philosophy prioritizes car care and customer service equally. We may be regarded as a business on paper, but our service advisors, technicians, and support staff are a family through and through.
